Cross Roads: Tracing Jesus's Journey to Jerusalem is a six-week Lenten study that puts you on the actual ground Jesus walked, from the barren Judean wilderness to the shores of Galilee, through the contested heartland of Samaria and along the trade routes of Jericho, up the steep ascent to Jerusalem.

Geography is not background in the Gospels. It is meaning. The landscape shapes the tension, the encounters, the teachings. As Michael Carpenter, an ordained elder in the Oklahoma Annual Conference who has pastored congregations ranging from small rural churches to large suburban ones, brings these settings into focus, the familiar passages of the Gospel story open up in new ways, revealing cultural details and strategic crossroads that most readers have never seen. The result is a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and what his journey demands of those who follow him.
