The veil between the world of man and the world of the gods has been torn and the only hint on how it can be repaired lies in a land of crystal and magic. Thad and his companions must brave the wrath of the scions if they have any hope of saving their land from becoming a desolate waste.
Customer Reviews
Good storyteller but…
I have come to D.W. Jackson’s work in the middle. I, and others, have noted the lack of good copy editing. It is annoyingly ever present in this book. This book even published with an editor’s note still on the page!
What is more infuriating is D.W. Jackson tells a compelling story. I which they had the capacity to have more than one character’s point of view in the same book. Bren went from being a protagonist to a prop in this book just to bring Thad back into the protagonist role. It would have been much more enjoyable to read the struggle Bren was having with the Godhood while also struggling with connecting with his long-lost farther. Instead, all we got was glimpses through Thurman’s conversation with Thad.
Still, a good read. I just really wish someone with some publishing expertise would step in and realize there are reasons for second editions. … and fixing editing errors is one of them!
