Great content....but the writing wasn't concise.
Mike, it is an awesome book. The content was rich and really helpful. Couldn't find any other reference alike your book. It helped me not only to understand how array formulas works but also supported me to go further, creating my own complex calculations.
However, the book was a bit repetitive.
Throughout my reading, I had the sensation that many times you wrote something only to generate more pages because the content was already wrote many times before.
Keep in mind that most of people who is reading your book are businessman, looking for answers to support their decisions. Most of the times, people are looking for quick answers while they are building their excel models. Therefore, they are looking for a concise and straightforward reading.
I would suggest you to review the excess of repetitive tips ( such as the need of ctrl+z after the F9, the need of ctrl+shift+enter - the most repetitive ones). If you do so, you would eliminate about 40% of pages. Making the reading much faster without compromising quality.
There is some smaller mistakes: in the chapter 4, your text is talking about finding the minimum time for three cities. But the summary table talks about maximizing formula....
Well, as I said before, awesome book. Perfect for advanced users who is looking for deepen its knowledge about the excel power.
4 stars for the excess of repetition and minor mistakes through the book.
I highly recommend this book for everyone who wants to learn about array formulas. From the basic user to the advanced ones.
All the best
