Straight Forward Balanced Read on Cyrus
Surprisingly, there’s very limited information on Cyrus the Great. I read this and was happy it provided a balanced view on Cyrus. It is simple and straight forward without fluff and unnecessary details although I still wanted more. I was curious following Isaiah 45, God’s chosen instrument. I listened to Xenophon’ Cyrus the Great by Larry Hendricks. That account while very great on the Art of Leadership and War, was “too glowing.” Together, the two provided a more compelling and complete picture of Cyrus.
