To you
I loved this book so much. I didn’t know what to expect, but when I opened up to the dedication, I saw “To you,” which I though was decidedly forward of the author...
But it WAS for me—everything I wanted. A plucky, likeable heroine who knew what she wanted and grew from her circumstances. The story goes through a very relatable journey through college and romance, snapshots of the early 1900s, and clever storytelling. The plot was predictable, but I still laughed and cried. I’m so glad I found this.
It’s a quick, simple, cheerful read, from Jean Webster to you.
