Daisy and Bob met in Chester, SC, and married in Greenville. They stayed close by writing to each other when apart. This collection shows the impact of World War II on a young couple and their child. Their frequent correspondence spans several states in the US, as well as the battle-scarred campaigns of North Africa, Sicily, and Italy.

Nikki Guy Latham, Daisy and Bob's daughter, is retired from nursing and pastoral care ministry. She's a mother and grandmother, who enjoys living near the beach in Pawleys Island, SC.
