Everyone has demons

Addicted to opium, believing he is possessed by the Devil, Brother Cledwyn flees Twycross Abbey, the only home he knows. He leaves behind his beloved Brother Dwennon, choosing a broken heart over a broken soul, determined to become a hermit.

Dissolute bowman, Boswell Archer is combating demons of his own. Ten summers past, he watched his younger brother Godwyn get trampled to death in the streets of London. Riddled with guilt, he fell into a life of heavy drinking, gambling, and salving his pain in the bed of any available lad or lass. Caught by an irate father and transported to the far side of Wales, he is making his way back to the seedy streets of London.

Whether by chance or by destiny, the two collide at a time of crisis in the small fishing village of Saint Isfael.  Troubling similarities unite them, including a growing mutual attraction. They discover they are both prisoners of cruel fate until a startling revelation frees them to find the warrior--and the lover--within.
