You Can Go Back Home!
While this is part of a series, I found I could read it as a stand alone book. This is the first book I’ve read by Pamela Ford, and I loved it and look forward to reading more of her books. Delaney left her hometown years ago, with no intention of going back, let alone believing in romance after her mother’s many failed relationships. However, what can she do but go back when she is informed that her aunt passed away and left her an inheritance. Since she is an out-of-work advertising exec struggling to make ends meet she swallows her pride and goes home. The will had a stipulation that each heir had to fulfill the task assigned to them, and each of them had to succeed in order to collect. Loved the co-heirs! Had some mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end who is trying to cause her to fail. Pam writes with such humor to describe the antics of everyone fulfilling their tasks. Making it difficult for Delaney is an old childhood crush, Mike, that always called her pumpkin because of her red hair and is also a co-heir. She still remembers and feels embarrassed; however, both of them are instantly drawn to each other. Will each heir fulfill their task? Will Mike and Delaney realize they are perfect for each other, or will Delaney leave town and find another job? Read the book to find the answers - you won’t be disappointed!
