Publisher Description

A teen is forced to make a fresh start after witnessing a violent crime—but love and danger find her anyway in this “swoonworthy romance” (Kirkus Reviews) from Becca Fitzpatrick, the New York Times bestselling author of the Hush, Hush saga.

Stella Gordon’s life is a lie.

She does not belong in Thunder Basin, Nebraska. As the star witness in a murder trial against a drug dealer, Stella is now in the Witness Protection Program. The small town locals can never know who she really is. Not even Chet Falconer, the one boy who makes her want to reveal her true self. She knows that telling the truth will only bring violence to this safe haven.

Despite how hard Stella tries to stay under the radar, danger is fast approaching. Criminals have a way of getting rid of witnesses, and Stella may have made the one mistake that could lead the cold-blooded men hunting for her right to her doorstep.

Loved it!

I think this may be my most favorite Becca Fitzpatrick book yet! Loved the ton of Thunder Basin. It feel like as much a character as the people themselves!

A good teen romance but not for readers looking for a thriller

I read this book quickly, but I was a little disappointed with it. When it ended I was extremely surprised. I feel like the ending was rushed. I feel that a certain antagonist had an anger that didn’t make sense. I feel confused that so many characters are mentioned that make you feel like they’re going to be explored but then it’s like they’re cut off or forgotten about. I also feel weird about the ending of a vital person in Estella’s life. A person that’s so important to her for a certain amount of time should have more of a sure ending. I do like the idea of the story but it doesn’t feel finished. I’m a huge fan of Becca and her writing, however this book surprised me. It feels cliche with a sprinkle of family drama for the reason of saying it’s also a thriller. For these reasons I absolutely would recommend this book to someone looking for romance with a small amount of a forbidden fruit aspect but not to people that enjoy thrillers.
