Macy & Jax have their hands full
Wow, I have so much to say about this book, but I'm not sure where to start. First, Macy and Jax are perfect for each other. They both need family stability, but neither one has the time or desire to get involved in a relationship. So they decide to get married to fix their problems. When has this ever turned out the way it is planned in life?
Jax has overbearing family members (aka his brother Manager and sister PR rep) telling him to clean up his act or else. Macy has a stepmother who has been out of the picture for the last five years that has now decided to return and claim custody of her daughter. So they decide to get married to solve their problems. Yet they never planned on falling in love.
Of course, this is a HEA story and ends well for the couple. But I really enjoyed the underlying story of raising a teenager whose mom just returned and all she wants is to be with her. The attitude, the escapades. I laughed and yet I also felt sympathy for Macy. She has her hands full, but she's doing the best she can.
It’s a shame!
I did not like that the first three chapters was the same writing in the last chapters of the previous book. The author change the situation from an engagement party to a wedding. Changed the trouble Jaxon got in from having sex with his bosses daughter to getting in a fight at a bar. But all the writing was exactly the same. What the characters said and did was the same. Dear author, year readers are not stupid we remember what happens in other books.
Confirmed Bachelor falls hard!
This declared bachelor fell hard! Jaxon and Macy have a night of fun, only the paps catch Macy’s walk of shame the next morning and puts custody of her sister in jeopardy. So what do they do? Get married. Only Jaxon finds himself falling for Jaxon and Macy for him, but they don’t know the other fell. Very fun, steamy read! Great addition to this series!
