Daring Deception
As always, Barbara Freethy never fails to deliver a story full of twists and turns as the story unfolds. Love this latest addition to the Off the Grid series. Caitlyn and Quinn were collage sweethearts when an explosion rips their lives apart. Ten years later Caitlyn is a tough FBI agent still determined to find those responsible for the bomb that changed her life. Now another bomb explodes on the same campus and she asks to be assigned to investigate the new case, determined to find out if there is a connection. While at the scene she sees Quinn who is also drawn to the campus. Many twists as Caitlyn pulls in Quinn to help with her investigation. The passing of time did nothing to change their feelings, and they are both fighting their feelings. Loved it.
Intrigue, Suspense and Romance
Daring Deception is another action packed story from Barbara Freethy. It’s filled with intrigue, suspense and an old romance sparked back to life. The plot was complex and riveting making it a page turner from the beginning. Caitlyn and Quinn had chemistry and a bond from love that made me cheer for them to work through their issues and get back together. This is a great book if you’re looking for an adventure with action, intrigue and romance. I definitely recommend this book, and look forward to the next book in Barbara Freethy’s FBI series!
