Porn or Literature?
As a writer myself, I am highly critical of sloppy prose. Thoughtless fragments and run-on sentences make me cringe. Erotica has taken a steep nosedive in recent years with the advent of easy publishing. Dark as a Dungeon, however, is from a time before prose degenerated into emoticons and vowels.
The author goes so far as to experiment with Faulkner-esque changes in tense to convey a new state of mind. The drug fueled orgy is written in first person present tense because the narrator has just taken amphetamines for the first time. This work is a smut masterpiece!
