Darkly Emotional Roller Coaster
Dark Consequences delves deeper into the emotional and mental complexities of its main characters than any other fiction novel I’ve ever read. Connor and Laurel each carry deep-seated traumas that they struggle to work through. Their chemistry is intense to the point of scary—each subconsciously recognizing the other and yet holding themselves back—and so they stand in their own way because they aren’t yet ready to deal with their own stuff. Their story is fraught with triggers, taking you on a difficult roller coaster of emotions that will leave you sitting back after the story is over and really contemplating what you just read. Author Poppy Flynn has built an powerfully emotive novel that is well worth the read.

Dark theme
Dark themes that the author was able to give insight and make it apart of your world. Enjoyed Connor and laurel’s story with a realistic pace of change … doesn’t just jump to a happy ever after. Would recommend this book and was glad for the warning before reading . I received this book for free as an advance review and am voluntarily leaving a review .
Dark Consequences
This one just about broke me. I always wondered what had gone wrong between Laurel and Connor as I read the other books. I was NEVER a fan of Connor.. not once.
My heart broke for Laurel .. absolutely could see the writing on the wall.
There is a lot of dark in this one. Both of them had to deal with mental health issues. Through it all though they had friends to keep them going.
The inner strength to pull through …
Connor redeemed himself and I am so thankful they got their HEA as I doubted it would happen.
