Burdened by family secrets, this cowboy rides alone
For twenty-five years, the case of the McGraw twins kidnapping has remained unsolved. As the eldest son, Cull oversees the McGraw horse ranch, wary of prying eyes. So when true-crime writer Nikki St. James comes forward with new information, Cull can't believe his father invites her onto the compound. His family has suffered enough—he's not about to let St. James snoop and ruin them completely. But Nikki finds the eldest McGraw's protectiveness as endearing as it is aggravating. After all, this case is personal to her, too… And her secrets can set the truth free—if they don't destroy the McGraws first.

Customer Reviews
Highly Entertaining
Highly entertaining, emotional, gripping, mysterious and danger filled romantic journey. They may have found their personal HEA but the Mystery of the missing twins remains to be solved.
Cull McGraw oldest son and all around alpha male cowboy is not happy with the idea of rehashing the mystery of his twin siblings kidnapping 25 years ago and believes that each grain of hope is slowing killing his father. Nikki St. James is a tenacious investigator and true crime writer looking for answers to this kidnapping is since being invited to dig into the past by the twins father. This case is personal to her since her father was accused of the crime but died in transport to the prison many years ago (a fact she keeps to herself while digging). Very intriguing reading.
Expensive for such a short book
For a 5 dollar ebook I expected a lot more. It had such an abrupt ending with a lot of unanswered questions.
DARK HORSE
DARK HORSE. by B J Daniels. Travers comes daily to visit his former wife a shell of what she was, clutching two old dolls. Nikki, notebook in hand, with a mantra, "at your own risk" 25 years, a kidnapping happened in Whitehorse, Montana. As a reporter, writing about true crimes, also this case is more personal. Riviating story of how a tragic event, broke a family and 25 years later, they were still hurting. The secrets, that were held, would Nikki find any hope for them. The plot was good, it held you captive to the end. The characters, drew you in, as you met the family. Good read for all to enjoy, and trying to put the pieces of what happened 25 years ago. Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
