I really like this series. It has a lot of meaningful content. It’s not realistic to believe aristocrats married below themselves like this but that’s the romantic notion every poor young woman probably had and it makes for a good romance story. This series I would consider more of a mystery/suspense romance then a historic one. Keeps you interested and wondering. You get the HEA but not closure. Can’t say too much without it being a spoiler. 😉
