Dark Matter

In the third episode of the Spacegasm series, the Deputy Commodore continues to make a place for herself on the S.S. Qama. Atarah still can’t quite wrap her mind around landing on a curve surfer—a.k.a. ‘curfer’—that is fueled entirely by sexual energy, especially after she’d settled into a life of celibacy. True, the vivacious cadet Sapphire helped her explore previously unknown territories to an explosive end, but was it just that it was so new that Atarah could get into it? How can she let go of her fear and nerves to have sex with a man? What if it reminds her of Silas, and the old betrayal rears up? What if she’s bad at it?

Sex issues aside, she must also balance her leadership position as Deputy Commodore with this strange new culture: lower-ranking officers feel comfortable making propositions, the Commodore is evasive and doesn’t seem to share Atarah’s esteem for the law, and the one person in the entire galaxy that she would love never to see again has somehow made her way onto the curfer... To complicate matters further, an unknown officer with gorgeous brown eyes has made it very difficult for her to concentrate.

But Sapphire isn’t the Director of Satisfaction for nothing. When she sets Atarah up for an unforgettable and anonymous encounter with a man, she knows what she’s doing.

And so does he.
