It started with that verse.
Dark Mysteries is the first book of poetry written by Jim Pyra as an adult. It includes experimental forms, blank verse, and some meter. Beginning in 2005, he started crafting verses because the lady he loved asked him to do so. It was quite an uncharacteristic request, taking him completely by surprise because she had never expressed any pleasure in poetry before. However he took up the challenge and started writing in the book she had given him for the task. As he wrote them, he noted the date and place and by 2011 had amassed enough verses to produce a book properly, with poems inspired and written in North America, Europe and Africa.
