Richard Rhodes completes the work he started with his Pulitzer Prize winning book "Making of the Atomic Bomb". Dark Sun provides insight into geo-political climate after World War II, the Cold War and beyond. Complex relationships between giants of 20th century physics like Oppenheimer, Teller, Ulam and Bethe are explored, as are motivations and flaws of these great men. A lot of information about US/Soviet nuclear tests and easy to understand science involved is provided in the book. I would recommend this book for anyone who has an interest in history or physics.
