Dave Lewis is a cop who has been crushed by the personal tragedies that have happened to him. He just wants to drink the pain away. Mariska Masekova is his beautiful Irish/Hungarian housekeeper who has both the temper and the steadfastness of both nationalities, and who tries her best to help Dave. D.S. Chrissie Holland is the one tasked with bringing Dave back into the force because once upon a time he was a brilliant cop. The three of them go on the hunt for a merciless arsonist who cares nothing for property or life, killing almost randomly, but killing women and children without a care. a cold-hearted killer who has revenge in her sights. Except those in power don't believe in what they're doing, time is lost, people die needlessly but Dave, Mariska and Chrissie persevere, they make people believe. But will they apprehend the arsonist in time to save lives? And who is to help the ghost of the child caught between life and death and crying out for release. Another exiting crime novel from the imagination of s.d. gripton
Very good book, it kept me engaged and reading it quite quickly....but the ending was so abrupt. I would have like more at the end.
There are many missing pages as a sentence will just stop halfway & not finish. The end is the same way. No closure! It was a good story otherwise.
Enjoyed reading this. Really felt the pain and suffering of Dave and experienced his awakening.
Can't wait to read the next...
