The grandsons of Dowager Queen Gwyndalin are growing fast. Lugas, age 13, is assigned a tutor to prepare him for princely duties. Grayson finds a mysterious egg, which when hatched, reveals a baby dragon, which instantly bonds with the eleven-year-old. Life at Joyous Keep is filled with intrigue, marked by an invasion by strange outsiders. It's up to Gwyndalin to guide the boys toward the future roles they inherited.
