Dateless Losers, Five Stories is an early collection of humorous short fiction put together in the 1990s by C.R. Hoffmeister when he lived in Columbia, SC. The five working class buddies, Don, Mick, Jim, Sam, and Vinny are parched, punchy, and set on defeating their county bowling league rivals, the Pin Hammers. If Don can find love in an exchange student from South America, and Mick salvation through strychnine and Midnight Bowl, they might just pull off the comeback of the year.
