Perfect if you want to get lost in a new world!
There’s such vivid world creation in this book it makes you want to keep learning more and more of their reality. I can only imagine where the other two parts will take me!

Brilliantly creative is what comes to mind when I read this book. I could imagine Lilith’s terror when she saw the Oankali standing in her room. A race of people so different from humans the description terrorized even me at first. This is what sci-fi writing is all about. Couldn’t put it down.
Interesting and different
It was a bit slow in the beginning but it turned out to be a very interesting take on aliens. Butler does a great job making the reader uncomfortable when describing the aliens.
