Garrett secretly loved Daniella throughout their high school years. After he moved away, he finally put those feelings behind him, or so he thought. Now he spends his days under the hoods of vehicles as a mechanic.
A sudden call from a friend brings Garrett rushing to his hometown. He doesn't expect his feelings to come back when he sees Dani after years away.

Aúh-mazing!
Raw & Emotional read. I relate to Dani in so many ways; it's like breath of fresh air reading her journey and seeing depression from the outside. Everyone at some point in their life gets depressing feelings, with this book not only are their tips on how to cope but a character that shows strength and determination to push through, it's inspirational. There are a few quotes from this book that stuck to my core and for that I'll forever be grateful for Michelle Dare. On the flip side I relate a ton to Garrett that it's crazy, I may relate even more to him than Dani lol, but I love Garrett, I love who he is, how he works through his own issues, he supports the people around him and is just overall great. This book had its twists and one major one that I was clueless about; usually I can sense a plot twist but was blindsided by this one... I wish I could share a gif on here to show you how I felt lol. Over all it was a very good read, emotional, raw, informative, inspirational, and perfect. Michelle Dare has done it again!

I sympathize with the message the book was conveying about the underlining issue of depression. I feel for anyone going though it. There were some moments that were slow and were drawn out. I also couldn’t connect with Dani. I connected more with Garret and wanting to be something different than what is expected of him.
