Publisher Description
Arguably the best time travel tale dealing with the Holocaust every written, in our humble opinion. A rebellious group of time travelers attempt to prevent one of the greatest atrocities humanity ever devised: Auschwitz. Monitor and ace enforcement operative Gaspar James is sent to stop them. Gaspar knows that the horror must be allowed to run its course in order to preserve the integrity of the time line. At least that's what he has told himself throughout his service to the Moiety, the group charged with overseeing the continuity of time. But even Gaspar has his doubts-and millions of lives hang in the balance. At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (DRM Rights Management). At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management).

Fabulous, a real treasure!
I am so excited to find this, one of my two or three most favorite science-fiction novels, available here in digital form! I had purchased this novel in paper form twice before and each time given it away to someone with whom I hoped to share it. Now it is mine forever!
This is a truly moving story of adventure and redemption, set against the backdrop of two compelling and extremely well-drawn worlds. One is the mysterious yet bureaucratic time travel organization established by an unknowable intelligence in our own far distant future, seeking to preserve the chain of historical events that led to its evolution. The other is one of the most powerful descriptions of Auschwitz in fiction that I have ever read, an evocation that will leave you gasping and claustrophobic, with the scent of burning flesh in your nostrils, every time you read it. Buy this book and then hold on tight for a ride that will make you feel as if you are really there. Just don't stomp on any butterflies!
