The link is the foppish courageous Matthew Crawford, who first reveals his secret at his daughter's wedding and then walks into her chaotic and dangerous life in Marbella.

A tale of teenage romance and disappointment, of heartbreak and sadness, desperate greed and tragedy, about a father's devotion, a man's courage; and the consequences of mixing with the wrong people, where trouble lurks.
