The dead wait for no one.
When a teenaged girl is discovered in the woods, Medical Examiner Summer Jordan suspects her death is more than an overdose. Still new to small-town southern politics, Summer charges ahead with her theory and draws the ire of one of Roselea’s most powerful families.
Investigator Cage Foster convinces Summer to work with the sheriff’s office instead of going rogue. Together they follow a trail of teenage sex, drugs and lies.
Summer soon has the killer in her sights, but before she can cast the net, he strikes too close to home. Alone in the woods, Summer knows she must strike first. How far will she go to bring justice to a grieving family?

Sad
What a sad story of teenagers and how they can be cruel and “blind” and let emotions lead their way. No emotional security in their own “worth” can make kids do some pretty crazy stuff.
I would like to read a book now on Summer and her past.
