Great continuation of the series!
Deadly Alpha is the great second book in the Alpha Council Chronicles series. The character development is spot on - these are not two-dimensional characters, you will think and feel right along with them as you read. The action is great and keeps the plot moving, but it does not overshadow the romance between Marcus and Christina.
I love Brenda's take on the soul-mate concept. Watching the range of emotions the vampires go through when they discover their heartmates but the feelings are not reciprocated right away makes it seem that much more real and poignant.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the remainder of the series!
