Cherie O’Boyle’s Deadly Disguise

It is the week for exam finals. Estela Nogales, psychologist
is in her office at the college counseling center when a
huge commotion breaks loose on campus.
Estela goes to investigate what is the cause of all the
campus chaos. Arriving at the library, Estela discovers
that Professor Freuhauf has fallen over the library’s
railing? Accident or something more sinister?
Estela’s acquaintance, Detective Munoz gets assigned
to the case. They team up to interview the large array
of well described, colorful suspects ranging from
disgruntled students both undergraduate and graduate,
an ex-wife and colleagues who wanted the man to retire.
This book was a fresh, uniquely developed murder.
The tension was thick with thrills, chills, suspense with
unexpected twists.
The writing style flowed smoothly making this book a
quick, fun read.
Estela’s border collies, Shiner and Scout make an
appearance adding flavor to the story. They are retired
therapy dogs and herders.
Well written and very imaginative.
A highly recommended read!!
This is book # 4 in the Estela Nogales Mystery series. It
can be read as a stand alone. It is the first I have read in
the series.
I will definitely be reading more of the author’s stories.
I volunteered to read Deadly Disguise. Thanks to the author
via The Cozy Mystery Review Crew for the opportunity.
My opinion is my own.
