China, a deaf and partially blind Australian Shepherd was rescued from a kill shelter when she was still a pup. Abused by her former owner, we had no idea then what she would teach us, and how she would change one little girl's life forever.
The Dog Liberator is a small foster-driven non-profit dog rescue located in Central Florida. Founded by Gisele Veilleux in 2009, it has continued to rescue approximately 200 dogs per year. The Dog Liberator focuses on rescuing herding dogs in danger, thus preventing highly adoptable dogs from being destroyed.

I know the feeling,I have a deaf white boxer that no one wanted and disposed in my porch at only 5 weeks old with a note in my mailbox that they couldn't take care of her because they lost their job. Yeah sure it was because she was deaf. Let me tell you people I never regret it Nova is one of the dogs on my life and I love her to death. She is so smart and intelligent. This story truly touched me and to let you all know that dogs with disabilities are just as equals as a normal dog. Deaf dogs rule
