Perfect point of view...
Okay, people have to realize that a story can't be perfect with perfect characters and a perfect ending, that would be boring. Dear John is an excellent book because it allows you to have many different emotions and opinions about the characters. Yes, the book has the capability to make you furious, but I think that is what the author was trying to accomplish. He wants you to question there love and choices. Is it possible to really fall in love with someone in a two week time period? Was savannah right or wrong to do what she did to John? It's all very debatable. Nicholas sparks is also telling the story from johns point of view.. But what if it was from savannah's? Would opinions change? Who knows.. But i think the book is a great example of selfless love. Yes, the story is not the perfect love story that we were hoping for, but it's such an amazing story if you can know how to read with an open mind. The end of the book, I think is honestly the best part. It completely amazed me, and I think the book wanted you to build up so much sympathy for John that honestly it was, in a way, savannah's payback. Her showing she was most likely wrong for the choices she made, and Savannah still hoping just like John was. The book was incredible I'd recommend it any day. Just remember, read it with an open mind.

This is another Spark's must read. You'll understand the meaning of true, selfless love and the extraordinary measures it can reach.

Nicholas Sparks did it again!... Pulls on the heart strings, and makes you look at your relationships and to never take life for granted. This is a quick and easy read-- a story that is life changing.
