Death by Peanuts
Publisher Description
Acne-ridden Christian detective, Mark 'Pizza' Parlour, must find the killer among his own congregation when an ex-serviceman slumps head-first into a plate of chocolate eclairs at the Church Council meeting. But the murderer appears to have ascended into thin air. This is the first in the DI 'Pizza' Parlour series.
Review: I really enjoyed this. Don't be put off by the Christian detective and church setting - it' s very much taking a potshot at ridiculous pompous Christian types whilst not being offensive about the faith. It was very cleverly done. Lots of red herrings but plausible, which is what you want from a Whodunnit to avoid feeling fobbed off. Heartily recommended.
