Swimwear exec Holly Schlivnik, President of the junior and private label divisions of Mermaid Swimwear, is thrust into the middle of another murder mystery when she discovers the corpse of Lissa Charney, current Royal Swimwear showroom manager and former employee of Barely There Swimwear, nailed inside a sample closet in the Barely There office. There is no dearth of people who had reason to wish Lissa dead, but when her colleague and fellow Yenta (each involved in women’s swimwear), Joan Binder, becomes a prime suspect for this heinous deed, Holly steps up to the plate determined to absolve her friend. It’s a race against the clock before she either catches the murderer or becomes another victim—and, in the meantime, people around her are dropping like flies. In this quirky, well-written mystery, filled with an ill-tempered parrot that can’t keep its opinionated beak shut, a complex plot, and extra heapings of snark, readers will be on pins and needles as they root for Holly to save the day.
