No nonsense, just like the man himself
Brock Lesnar's career has been showered with success since becoming D1 champion in 2000, but not without controversy and setbacks. In this book, the Beast Incarnate takes a step back, reflects on his career (up to UFC 116), and, for the first time, reveals the refreshingly human side of Brock. I found it hard to put down the book once I started reading, and enjoyed every word. Paul and Brock do a great job detailing the emotions and rationale behind Brock's career path. My only criticism of the book is one that comes with a grain of salt: Brock is a very no-nonsense man, so the book is very straight and to-the-point, which makes it harder to become immersed in the text compared to someone like Chris Jericho's writing style, which is much more grandiose and visual. In that same vein, it's not exactly War and Peace in terms of length. But at the end of the day, the story of Brock Lesnar is a fascinating one, and well worth the read.
