The story she heard was impossible. Not far-fetched. Impossible. Phoenician sailors crossing the Atlantic? Smuggling treasure into the Americas? And not just any treasure - the lost artifacts of the Temple of Jerusalem, missing since 70 A.D.? No. That doesn't happen.

Dr. Vivian Guthrie knows that. She's the director of the Museum of American History. This story told by a new museum donor is pure fantasy.

But the story itself isn't what makes her investigate; it's her mysterious new benefactor who seems to know too much about her...

...and her carefully held secret that enabled her rise to the director's chair. 

She doesn't yet know her role in her benefactor's nefarious scheme, or that he's responsible for the disappearance of the CDC's lead virus researcher. 

All Vivian knows is this: she's looking at a large tablet in the New Mexico Desert inscribed with a Middle Eastern language that's been dead for 2,000 years.
