Publisher Description
Charlie Cosby was proud to have a scientific genius as his closest friend. Most of the time, that is. As a research physicist his research led him to discovering a new laser energy force field. By sheer chance Bill Beasley builds an electronic gadget trying to bend laser beams. Instead he becomes invisible. The ramifications of creating invisibility and in the wrong hands could destroy the world. His first impulse is to destroy his work. Unfortunately he didn't act on this first reaction. He is working in a research center heavily involved in Federal Government projects. Technically Bill's discovery is the property of the government. So using his invention or destroying it could be considered treason to his country. The research associates become curious about his research and the director orders several scientists to review Bill's work. In this dilemma he turns to his best friend Charlie to hold on to his gadget until he can decide what his best solution should be. A CIA agent gets assigned to investigate Bill's activities. He becomes convinced there has been a major discovery including invisibility. He becomes obsessed with uncovering Bill as a traitor to his country. The story becomes a spiral ever adding new players to the field. Fast paced action with some humor added.
