One-Night Stand Rule #1: always check the condom's expiry date.
As a career-orientated woman, I have a plan, and being a mom is not part of it. My not-quite-a-fairy-tale childhood involved being brought up by thirty nannies (yes, thirty!), so what the heck do I know about being a mother anyway?
Yes, the news about Granny dying is a surprise. But not as much as what happens after, when I have hot sex with Mr. No Commitment himself, Josh Hoffer, as a way to deal with the grief.
Is it worth it? Definitely.
Or at least it seemed so at the time.
I have no room in my life for a family or steady girlfriend. My hockey career comes first. Life is tough when you're on the road more times than you're not.
Besides, what do I know about diapers and baby yoga and fairy-tale princesses?
When Holly Whittaker, with her sexy Aussie accent and mile long legs, wants to blow off a little steam after receiving bad news, hell if I'm saying no. She's my friend, and friends help friends in need.
But sex is never without consequences. And now we need to figure out how to find room in our hearts for each another—plus one.

Cute, Cute, and Cute.... Meet Cute
This was so cute I don’t even know how to describe it. A goofy, no-one-is-worth-settling-down-for NHL player has a one night stand with his best girl friend and *poof*.... lives changed. I do agree with what Josh said though. Him and Holly would have fallin’ in love regardless of Lily! 🥰
A disappointing follow-up story.
Decidedly Off Limits was such a fun read that I thought the second book in this series would be a great choice. Somewhere between Decidedly Off Limits and Decidedly with Baby the author forgot how to write a cohesive story. I really liked the secondary characters, Holly and Josh, in the first book and was excited to read their story. In Decidedly with Baby, the author constantly breaks the fourth wall with her stylistic choices. Almost every thought each character has is prefaced with a question to the reader. Enough already! Tell the story! Very frustrating style choice and did not make for an easy read. It also tarnished the love story. I didn’t get a chance to fall in love with these characters and I didn’t “feel their spark.” I would absolutely recommend Decidedly Off Limits. I wish I would have stopped there.
Review: By The Bay 2: Decidedly With Baby
Decidedly With Baby by Stina Lindenblatt is the second book in her latest series, By The Bay . This accidentally pregnancy trope novel is a mix of hilarity, vulnerability, and heat. Told in dual POV this book was well-written and well-paced and a pleasure to read!
Josh Hoffer, hockey player has been building a platonic friendship with Holly for a while now. Both are aware of the other's attractiveness but just never went there. She is Trent's co-worker and he is Trent's best friend. Trent is the main character from the first book in this series, Decidedly Off Limits. When Holly received from devastating family news a night of drinks turns into a lot more including an agreement to be fake fiancees and to take a trip to Australia together.
Josh and Holly's relationship evolves from there into something neither one of them ever expected. Emotional and also humorous, this book takes you on a roller coaster journey through the mine field of friends who have sex, who become fake fiancees and then get pregnant and fall in love. I adored this story. Hope you do too!
