Suspenseful, Captivating, & Passionate!!!
Wow what another sensationally written book from Heather Slade filled with heartache, secrets, horrible twists, passion, and love. Deck works as a freelance security contractor and a ranch hand. Mila has run away to Boston until a tragedy brings her back to her childhood Texas home. When Deck and Mila meet the chemistry between them was off the charts intense. Decked is a captivatingly, thrilling must read that readers won't want to put down with wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. I really loved this first book in a new series from Heather Slade. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Mila Knight grew up on a ranch in Texas but was determined to leave it all behind and moved to Boston for college and stayed. When she is contacted about her sister’s death, she comes back home hopefully for just a short time but when she realizes there’s more to her sister’s death...she sets out to determine what happened to her sister but what she finds is family secrets, her estranged father and more questions than ever...
Can Decker keep Mila safe while they uncover who killed her sister, uncover the family secrets, keep the sparks from igniting between them because she has no intentions in staying Texas...or does she??
What a tangled web they navigate!
This is book one in The Invincibles series and it features Decker and Mila. They met ”once” way back in junior high/high school. When they saw each other again as adults, they immediately recognized each other. They have an easy attraction. When you just know someone is meant to be yours, things usually fall into place easily. Not so for these two. She’s trying to find out who and why someone killed her sister and Decker is helping her. It’s a very tangled web they need to navigate to get to the truth.
The story line was great but towards the end I could’ve used more information. The pace was great until the last four chapters, in which it suddenly felt rushed. Regardless, the story was good and I can’t wait for book 2.
