“A fast-paced juggernaut of a story, where revelations pile upon revelations, building to a stunning conclusion that will leave readers clamoring for more.” —James Rollins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Sigma Force series
The accident came quickly. With no warning. In the dead of night, a precipitous plunge into a freezing river trapped everyone inside the bus. It was then that Army veteran John Reiff’s life came to an end. Extinguished in the sudden rush of frigid water.
There was no expectation of survival. None. Let alone waking up beneath blinding hospital lights. Struggling to move, or see, or even breathe. But the doctors assure him that everything is normal. That things will improve. And yet, he has a strange feeling that there's something they're not telling him.
As Reiff's mind and body gradually recover, he becomes certain that the doctors are lying to him. One by one, puzzle pieces are slowly falling into place, and he soon realizes that things are not at all what they seem. Critical information is being kept from him. Secrets. Supposedly for his own good. But who is doing this? Why? And the most important question: can he keep himself alive long enough to uncover the truth?

SUPER START TO ANOTHER TERRIFIC SERIES!
I received a copy this book last summer when it was a baby PDF file, in exchange for candid thoughts. I'm telling you this because even though I went through 242 books last year, and mostly audios, I can still remember this book as if I just this minute put it down. It is a totally unique plot, has a great cast of characters to tag along with, and so fast paced that I read far into the night until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. Then I picked it up with breakfast and read straight through to the end. You've been there with a great book, admit it!
In the first chapter, John reminded me a little of Jack Reacher, not the tiny one in the movies, but the full-on powerhouse in the books. But the resemblance ends there because our John seems to be having a day, then days, where he is in a revolving door that keeps opening into a new building with every spin!
"Where am I -- what's Happening --Who can I even trust?!" I Loved It!
If You are familiar with Mr. Grumley's first two great series, "Breakthrough" and the
"Monuments" and listened to any of them, You will know what a wonderful narrater he has in Scott Brick. I will be buying the Audio edition so that I can revisit this fab story and experience it again, while waiting for book 2. And Of Course this is book 1 in a series. That's
