Very insightful!
In Homan’s debut autobiographical account, a young man embarks on a 30 plus year law enforcement journey, outlining his days as a U.S. Border Patrol Agent through decades of work as a Criminal Investigator. Homan also shares insight into his life as Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during the Trump Administration and all the occupational hazards of dealing with the hyper-politicized liberal media, the new alt-left movement and its effect on our nation.
Homan is dealing with the U.S. Mexico Border Crisis while combatting false narratives from the liberal media and democrats who put votes above the public safety and national sovereignty. Based on his love of serving his fellow Americans, Homan sets out for the U.S. Border Patrol in CA. Homan is a small-town boy who hasn’t traveled much, so, the Narrator is largely shocked at the atrocities he has witnessed when dealing with casualties from the illegal movement of weapons, drugs, contraband, and people.
Homan offers a deeply personal account of a “cop” finding himself in the cross hairs of the immigration debate; with politicians who are bent on selling out American interests and vilifying the law enforcement professionals sworn to defend the nation. He outlines this undertaking in one of the most politically divisive periods in American History (Trump Administration). Homan is a relatable writer with fluid prose and insightful observations, using his personal experience to illuminate the Border Security/Immigration Crisis being experienced in the United States. Homan applies a data-driven approach in explaining the crisis and its implications to the average American. Homan’s willingness to attack this controversial topic is admirable, and he’s prescient enough to recognize those in government who cannot or will not enforce the laws of the land based on political self-interest. His interactions with agents and officers serving on the front lines of this conflict, often endears him to the reader. The supporting cast of characters discussed in his book is also excellent, as it reads like a who’s who in American politics (for better or worse).
Despite this being his literary debut, it’s a pleasure to accompany Tom Homan on his physical and political journey. The book is a fitting denouement to an epic career and memorable glimpse through the looking glass of American Politics.

Unfortunately the people who should be reading, listening and absorbing will dismiss him because he respects and supports our President.
