Juliette and Warner’s story continues in the thrilling fifth installment of Tahereh Mafi’s New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series.
Juliette Ferrars isn’t who she thinks she is.
Nothing in her world is what it seemed. She thought she’d finally defeated the Reestablishment. She thought she’d finally taken control of her life, her power, and her pain. But Juliette has only just begun to unravel a lifetime of lies, and she finds herself faced with a familiar choice:
Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
This time, she’s not alone. Stronger, braver, and more resilient than ever, Juliette will fight for life and love with her friends by her side—but first, she has to survive the war being waged against her mind:
She has to remember who she was.
Narrated by Juliette, Warner, and Kenji Kishimoto, this gripping novel will leave readers hungry for Imagine Me, the sixth novel in the series.

review
loved this book felt like it had everything it needed. i just wish that some parts didn’t drag on for as long as they did. otherwise i LOVED the ended!
Best Book in the Series
Defy Me is the BEST book in the series. There is just so much cuteness between Juliette and Warner and it’s just perfection. -SPOILERS- In this book we find out that Juliette’s real name is Ella Sommers and she and Warner were childhood friends. Personally, I like the name Ella much more than Juliette so I was happy with this. And in Warner’s one chapter where he says “Ella is asleep in my arms” adorable. Just adorable. People say this book dives too deep into politics and everything. But I LOVED IT. Give the shatter me series a chance!
Wow
this series is just amazing.
