What happens when you meet your one true love too young?
Dekon may be an adult but his denya, his mate, his one true love, Manda is a traumatized teenager, and while she may be healing from the trauma (as we’ve been aware of during subplots in previous stories) only time will help with the teenager bit.
Manda knows their situation is complicated, but she expects Dekon to fight for them. When she feels he isn’t it’s obviously time for her to focus on what she wants, and go get it... whether or not he’s ready.
This done in one story builds on subplots from previous stories, so while it does stand alone, I feel my reading was enriched from having read the entire series.

She’s too young...
When the mate bond started.
Mandy was just a teen rescued after being taken by aliens. So, Deke took off for years. He became a fighter and is carrying a ton of inhibitors around.
Manda got tired of waiting and found him.
I liked the premise that they both had to wait years until the timing was more appropriate.
Fun story
Devon and Manda finally get together but things do not go smoothly with action, misunderstanding and a few laughs. Fun and read it in one sitting laughing quite a lot.
