New York (AirGuide - Destination News North America) Jul 18, 2010 Accused "Barefoot Bandit" is captured in the Bahamas. Colton Harris-Moore is expected to face dozens of charges after his arrest on Sunday. The teenager accused of being the "Barefoot Bandit" was caught by Bahamian authorities. Authorities say the two-year crime spree started in Washington state and included several stolen aircraft. Break-ins attributed to Harris-Moore have raised concerns about security at general aviation airports. Gary Carlson, manager of the Chan Gurney Airport in Yankton, S.D., says he is beefing up security after Harris-Moore apparently broke in and used the flight simulator in preparation for his trip to the Bahamas. "This next year we are getting a new fence around the perimeter of the airport," he notes. Jul 13, 2010
