Setta Jay - Destined to Crave (Descended of Guardians Book 1)
Setta Jay's fantastic series Guardians of the Realms is one of my absolute favorites and I mourned when the series came to an end. When she said there was a spinoff series on the way I did a happy dance and have to say the first book in the spinoff series "Destined to Crave" -Descended of the Guardians Series went way beyond my expectations.
This series revolves around the children of the mated pairs from her first series and it is just as amazing as the first.
The book Introduces new characters as well as blending in the original Guardians. Set in the fantastical detailed ever expanding world mesmerizes the reader,draws you in and keeps you there unable to put down the book.
A paranormal book mixed with mythological creatures, gods , alternate realms and magic, the storyline is as complex, exciting and adventurous as the original series.
Steaming hot 🔥like all Setta's books, (the fated Mates bondings are some of the most romantic and sizzling I've read) but have creative imaginative stories and backgrounds to make it a complete awesome read.
The hero and heroine in this book are characters the reader is immediately drawn to.
Rykr is the son of a Goddess and Grandson of Hades. Rykr knows his fated mate, Lucy, is also his best childhood friend. Lucy, who is a few years older wants them to be parted for 10 years so he can truly experience maturing into a young man(God). Rykr was not happy with that arrangement but Lucy was insistent.
So much happens to both characters during their years apart
as well as the worlds they live in. The individual challenges they will need to overcome once the ten years have passed are daunting . Rykr and Lucy must learn they are more powerful together .
Love love this book, can't wait for more in the series. Guardians of the Realm is a definite must read for anyone loving paranormal sci-fi romance adventure. This book can be read alone but will be so much more enjoyable read in order.
