Over use of the word “HAD”!!
The use of the word “had” is too much!! I read the story and try to write it in my head the way it should be properly worded. The author uses “had” to show past tense when all that is needed os a verb past tense. I hope I make sense. To me, it took me away from the story and made me skip paragraphs just to get through. It is a good book other than that.
