Developing the Leader’s Heart

Developing the Leader’s Heart serves to introduce Christian leaders to the process that Jesus used to develop His disciples to fulfill their calling. In doing so, readers will be challenged to look beyond leadership skills and understand the deeper work God wants to do in the heart of leaders in order to accomplish His purposes through them.

Jesus began by seeking out twelve unqualified men. His training regimen was something the world had not imagined. He did not expound on the keys of leadership and organizational skills, instead He deconstructed their hearts, shaping them to lead in a whole new way—in a way that would transform lives and bring down kingdoms. These leaders were not merely coached by Jesus, they were formed by Him. In Developing the Leader’s Heart the reader will discover truths about how Jesus formed unqualified leaders into world-changers and how God takes His leaders today through this same process in order to accomplish His deeper purposes in their hearts and lives. It gives clear biblical examples of how Jesus dealt with His leaders through moments of transformational truth and gives insight into how to overcome burnout, discouragement and other roadblocks of the leadership journey.
