DEVELOPMENT THEORIES AND CONCEPTS

In this book, several theories are presented, as well as recent developments regarding these theories. Depending on each theory examined, there are different explanations for the development process and its inequalities. The book presents and examines the theories and concepts, which have been developed and proposed to deal with different development problems. The 1950s marked the emergence of development theories due to the accession to independence of several colonies, which were underdeveloped.
