Don't miss Xander and Lydia's story, a steamy second-chance, secret baby romantic suspense from USA Today bestselling author Morgan James.
I learned the hard way that alcohol and bad decisions don't mix. After a crazy night in Vegas, I found myself married to the pretty brunette I met at the bar. Despite the pull between us, we went our separate ways. But fate had other plans...
My feet have barely touched American soil when an unexpected letter from my lawyer delivers shocking news; due to a technicality, Lydia and I are still married. But that's not the only surprise—I have a little girl who looks just like me.
The spark I felt two years ago is still there, burning bright as ever, and I'll be damned if I let her get away a second time. When danger hits close to home, I'll do everything in my power to keep my family safe—and win Lydia's heart in the process.

Devil in the Details
Very emotional book. Has a lot going on throughout it. A lot of twists and turns. A nail biter for sure. The best part of the book is that their relationship actually starts at the beginning of the book instead of towards the middle like it does with a lot of books. Lydia and Xander have a rocky relationship but they get their HEA IN THE END.
I was wondering.
Yes, it was definitely someone close to her.
I finally feel compelled to comment …
First, Dear Writer, no matter which anatomy book you consult, regardless even the century in which it originated, you will find no body part named “opening.” Or “folds.” What are you, twelve?
Second, there are innumerable instances of misspellings, incorrect usage, punctuation issues, apostrophe abuse … have I missed anything?
My advice to you, Dear Writer, is to 1) acquire at least 1 dictionary, keep it close to your work area, and use it to ensure that words really do mean what you think they do (they probably don’t, in fact); 2) acquire, and learn how to use, a thesaurus; 3) hire, and pay, an experienced and competent proofreader - and then take her advice; and 4) hire, and pay, an experienced and competent editor (who may even have a proofreader in tow!) and, again take his advice. Seriously. It is an unfortunate fact of life that the writer who attempts to proof and edit her or his own work, like the attorney who defends himself, has a fool for a client. Don’t do it!
As for the story, it’s not as bad as your Technical grade, which is why there are 3 stars for this review. In fact, I have read the series up to this point, and I’m debating whether the (flawed, technically) stories are worth the price, but it’s not looking likely right now.
