Devil Music

When a gentle demon flees his life of slavery for the rough streets of 1980s Los Angeles, a thrift store guitar becomes his refuge, enabling him to weave together music and magic into rich audiovisual tapestries. Cain Pseudomantis quickly finds himself embraced by the city’s rock scene and swept into a new life, along with three magically gifted human band mates. But fame does not heal Cain’s woes. Hounded by an overzealous televangelist and unable to completely shake off the trauma of his past, he finds himself alienated and treated as an object of fear even as his fan base grows.
When Cain and his band mates make a rash attempt to uncover a bizarre ritualistic serial killer’s identity in order to clear Cain’s name, they discover that the mystery goes much deeper than they thought. Cain must now unravel the web of lies and intrigue he has unwittingly uncovered, or risk losing everything he has gained.
