NATIONAL BESTSELLER • A cabal of killer cannibals is chasing “the first serial killer who unabashedly solicits our love” (Entertainment Weekly)—the character that inspired the latest Showtime hit series Dexter: Resurrection.
“An entertaining, funny series . . . In his own way, Dexter is trying to make the world a better place.”—Sun-Sentinel
Dexter Morgan’s neatly organized life as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police, devoted husband and father, and killer of only those who deserve it is turned upside down by the arrival of his new daughter, Lily Anne. Feeling surprisingly sunny and loving, he’s trying to suppress the influence of his Dark Passenger—the voice inside who guides his homicidal urges.
But Dexter is summoned to investigate the disappearance of a seventeen-year-old girl who has been running with a bizarre group of goths who fancy themselves to be vampires. As Dexter gets closer to the truth of what happened to the missing girl, he realizes they are not really vampires, but cannibals. And most disturbing, these people have their eyes on Dexter . . . and their mouths are watering.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Lindsay's fifth thriller featuring Dexter Morgan (after Dexter by Design) brilliantly combines suspense and gallows humor. Dexter, a blood splatter analyst for the Miami-Dade PD, seriously considers giving up his secret life as a killer of serial killers after the birth of his first child, Lily Anne. Then Dexter's police sergeant sister, Deborah, calls him to the scene of a possible kidnapping, the bedroom of 18-year-old Samantha Aldovar, a student at a fancy private school. The quantity of fresh blood in the room, "like a large animal had exploded," suggests that the missing Samantha must already be dead, but it's Samantha's friend and classmate, Tyler Spanos, who turns up a cannibalized corpse. When it appears that one of those responsible for Tyler's horrible end will evade justice, Dexter finds it harder to turn over a new leaf. Readers will look forward to seeing the further impact of fatherhood on Lindsay's highly original protagonist in the next installment.

Good continuation to the storyline!
Another good book by Jeff Lindsay! Dexter continues to find trouble and surprises us along the way. Excited to continue reading the series.
The series is back!
Big fan of this series (both book and Showtime) although I thought the last two books lacked a little. Not true for this one. Great story with fun characters all wrapped in well-written Dexter-verse. Good book!
