Good Beginning
This was a good cozy mystery. I liked the main character Maggie. She was smart, loyal, and kind and has an interesting internal dialogue. At the novel's beginning, Maggie arrives at Whisper Island, Ireland to stay with her aunt. Maggie quit her job as a police officer after catching her husband cheating on her. After the divorce, Maggie decides to go to her aunt with whom she used to spend summers. Within days the murder of the town gossip soon puts Maggie's deductive skills to the test as she tries to clear her aunt's name. This was a better-than-average cozy. I liked all the side characters and thought the writing was well done. The mystery held my interest and I liked the hint of potential romance for the next book. I will most likely continue on in the series.
LOVE Maggie
An enjoyable romp into the heroine’s experience making friends and solving a mystery even tho she’s new to this Irish island community and its ways.
Characters are well drawn, believable, and memorable.
I still don’t know how Maggie got SO many people to tell her their secrets, but that was necessary for the plot! 🤪😄
